A SPECIAL MESSAGE
Dear Classmates, I want to take this moment to acknowledge and let you know how much effort our volunteer reunion committee has committed to since our first official meeting on November 9, 2006. We have had endless meetings in various locations, talked on the telephone daily with updates, emailed, commented, shared many ideas, challenged each others opinions but in the end managed to have had a lot of fun! Erica Webb-Belzer my wife who has supported me in taking on the task of being chairman of our 20 year class reunion. Her interest and contributions over the last 10 months have been amazing! Especially when you consider we got married and honeymooned during this time. You now know what I am going to be doing for the next 20 years… Nesting as many of you are starting to become empty nesters… Patricia Weber for management of our class database and taking on the most thankless jobs of assembling the mailings, and name tags just because…We have not figured out why, except she has saved our class a lot of money. Her creative talents, energy, and money saving ways enabled many of you to be contacted and for all of us to enjoy a video slide show of our memories. The dynamic duo: Stephanie Armel Weitz and Kim Howell Roach for their daily conversations and keeping me on task and focused. Their energy is what helped inspire me to continue to push forward making sure we have a fun, classy event. If they were not here you would be eating meatballs, wings, and wieners in barbeque sauce. All of my email notes would look like your children wrote them. In addition, helping me grow as a person and providing me insight to what a stay at home Mom’s job entails and without doubt these two are great Co-Presidents. They really know how to live within a small budget and provide a lot of value. Kari Pfeiffer Nelson, who entertained, provided feedback on what not to do having attended the class of 1986’s twenty year reunion last year. Her decorative talents and desire to live life is going to fill the room with more energy than Las Vegas. Dana Fern, who pushed for us to have a memory book, made sure we could fill it up with classmates, and hosted our “Save the Date” mailing assembly. She is a true entrepreneur having been the only advertiser in all three memory books. Lisa Prazak Koes, who would think a graduate from Robbinsdale Armstrong Senior High could grow up graduate from Hamlin Law School, move to Los Angeles and become a Vice President of Business Development for a Major Hollywood Studio? Her legal ease is not so easy if going up against her. Her attention to detail in calling out every potential pitfall for our various contracts I had to sign. A friend from long a go is still a friend and that’s why we should all continue to attend our class reunions. Stephanie Ranallo Moe, having passed the torch for planning our class reunions her valuable insight to our class and catering large events imagine what she could do for a small family gathering. Make sure to check out her new business venture it will make dinners at home and healthy eating more enjoyable leaving the mess at “My Girlfriend’s Kitchen”. Rob Greenberg our class president who continues to add input and monitor our overall reunion planning in a bi-partisan way and shows there is hope for democracy. When is he going to run for local government?
Geno Treichel and Kurt Ziminske, Our class of 1986's alumni who wanted to make sure our graduating class did not experience the same reunion pitfalls they had. Classmates, this experience of planning our reunion has been a rewarding experience for me in many ways. The lesson learned from planning this event is that 20 years is a long time and can lead towards the building of a great reputation. A strong network of friends having similar objective, working together and sharing in a common goal is what brings success. Now that we are all together again let us never drift apart. I look forward to seeing you in the very near future. Can you say "Silver Anniversary 2012"! This milestone will include the graduating classes of 1986 and 1988. If you’re interested in joining the twenty-five reunion committee please don't hesitate to contact me. Professional Graphic Artist Wanted!
The Reunion Committee is looking for a professional graphics artist to work on the memory book/class directory and official invitation for the 20-year class reunion. This should not take a lot of time to produce the two items and it’s a great way to show off your talent and may possible lead to new opportunity. Please contact the Reunion Committee if you know someone who might be interested. SAVE THE DATE! ITS OFFICAL THE MAILING IS OUT
Today, Kym Howell, Patty Webber, Dana Fern and I met at Dana's office for 90 minutes to prepare the save the date mailing. We are going to see how good our class search was. You can expect to find 80% of the men and 40% of the women The reason you can find more men than women is easy to understand since some people do get married and women tend to change their name. If you move out of state it starts to get more difficult to find you. When we began our class search it started with contacting the school district to get a complete class list. Then we called and found 307 peoples parents still have the same contact information. We choose to mail the parents address for those parents thinking they keep in communication with their kids and let them know to register for the class reunion. I
